Male peacock spiders are itty bitty (5mm) mini iridescent rainbows. Female peacock spiders, on the other hand are much larger and dressed in full camo. Male spiders tend to back off really quickly if they realise the female they're after isn't interested, and this is partly due to females having anti-receptivity signals, and partly due to how a female spider will absolutely try to take a bite out of a guy harassing her.
